A 3D Yacht wireframe model that was drawn up in AutoCAD is opened AutoCAD LT and viewed from the front.
It is required that two different scaled be printed from Model Space, one on an A1 page, and another on an A0 page.
<RMC Model Space><Page Setup Manager>
Create a new page setup for model space.
Call it “A0-PDF” and start with the “existing” Model setup.
For the new page setup, set the following as required:
- Paper Size
- Plot Area
- Plot Offset
- Plot Style Table
- Shaded Viewport Options
- Plot Options
- Drawing Orientation
Preview the plot.
<OK> to return to the Page Setup Manager dialogue. The newly created page setup is available. <RMC New Setup> and see how one can now <Set Current>, <Rename> or <Delete>.
Create another new Page Setup, named “A1-PDF”, using “A0-PDF” as base type.
Now it is simply required to change the page size and scale. The other settings are inherited from “A0-PDF”
One of the setups can be set to the current default page setup.
When the print command is now used in model space then this will be the default, although another may also be chosen.
When the view is changed to show a top view, then it can be seen how the page is still set up as before, but that the print window and scale may have to be adjusted to fit the drawing. Instead of just editing the existing page setup, rather create yet another page setup and rename the previous “Front”, to differentiate it from “Top”.
