New Features for Rendering in Autodesk 360

autodesk-revit-360-rendering The following rendering enhancements are included in the Autodesk 360 October 2013 release:

Physically-Based Illuminance Studies: With the new options included in the Illuminance Studies, Autodesk 360 users now have better control over sky and lighting settings. Sky Model manages the overcast level and Legend refers to the unit in which one would measure light. Make use of Location to set global position, date and time. Once Revit 2014, Update Release 2, is installed, the option to use settings from a Revit model becomes available.

Panorama Options: The user can now make use of either a JPEG image or an interactive panorama viewable in a browser window – which is now also supported on mobile devices like iPad and other tablets.

Support for Custom RPC Assets: Custom Revit RPC’s and RPC’s from other Autodesk partners – like ArchVision – can now also be used.

Update to Autodesk Revit 2014

Autodesk Revit 2014 users are encouraged to install the latest Update Release 2. The UR2 update fixes a number of issues, some which affect the performance and quality of rendering in the Autodesk 360 cloud service.
